“My guy and I visited this winery today, which is a bit off of the beaten path; however, it is well worth your time! We had a lovely visit with Laura (owner) and she was very informative and personable. We did a wine tasting which was awesome (you even get to keep your really cool wine glass!)!. Laura is a local who decided to stay in the area, along with her husband (the wine maker) and open up this very cozy winery. The wine was much more than I expected for a smaller winery. My fav was the Seyval Blanc, which was a dry white wine which i loved! I will definitely go back for more! The prices were very reasonable and I also purchased some cool wine gifts. I reside in Nashville, and have been to many wineries, but will have to admit, this was one of my favorites! I would recommend that anyone who is even close to this winery take the time to check it out, I promise you will not be disappointed!!! Salute Goodwater Winery!!! ”

Hand-Crafted Wines

Dry, semi-sweet, and sweet wines from grapes grown at Goodwater Vineyards. We are the official wine of Tennessee Smokies Baseball!

Two locations for tasting!

We have two tasting locations. One is at our main winery and vineyard, 1865 Goodwater Rd, Mosheim, TN 37818. The other is at our brand new Tasting Room in the whitewater rafting community of Hartford, TN, 3112 Big Creek Road, Hartford. Experience our hand crafted wines in both beautiful locations!

Picnic in the Vineyard

Let us prepare a custom, gourmet picnic in the vineyard for your party of two or more. Gourmet selections for you foodies out there, might include Brie in Phyllo, Beef and Asparagus Negimaki, or Caprese Salad, to name a few. Please allow 48 hours notice.

Estate-Grown Grapes

Our family has one of the few Wineries in Tennessee with large scale vineyards right out the back door. Varietals include Seyval Blanc, Corot Noir, Marquette, Noiret, Red Noble Muscadine, and White Magnolia Muscadine. Plus we have two other varietal wines from a vineyard six miles away.

Plan a Road Trip to Visit Us

Goodwater Vineyards is just one hour from downtown Knoxville, 12 miles off of I-81, between Douglas Lake and the historic town of Greeneville TN.  Enjoy the ride.  Open the windows, or put the top down, and breathe in the fresh scent of the countryside.  This is our TN. Notice how time seems to slow down.  You’ll pass large tomato and strawberry farms that thrive on our rich soil. Stay at a nearby B&B or the campground just up the road.

Want to make a day of it? Jonesboro, the oldest town in TN is not too far. Or go a little further to Hot Springs, NC and see the hikers come into town on the Appalachian Trail that passes through it.  What fun!  We’d be honored if you included us in your travels.
