“Driving through your wrought iron gates was like entering the Land of Oz. What a beautiful estate winery, and the view is magnificent! I like your idea of having a picnic overlooking the vineyards. Next time I will plan more time. There is not a lot to do there, but we simply did not want to leave.”

Old World Style Wines

Our wine is made by Chuck from 100% fruit grown on our farm in Grainger County. We prefer the “Old World” style of wine making which relies less on the intervention by the winemaker and more on the use of quality fruit grown in the vineyard to express the vintage in each of the wines’ flavor profiles. We look more for the unique character of each varietal and vintage than a uniformly produced and flavored product. We expect each vintage to mature differently and produce varying characters as they mature in the barrel or tank and then in the bottle.

FREE Wine Tastings

We are proud to offer our Old World style wines for tasting and purchase. These include Chardonnay, a dry Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese, Country Riesling (semi-sweet), a Smoky Mountain Rose (semi-sweet), and Muscadine. Soon, we will be adding berry wines to our lineup, including Blueberry and Japanese Wine Berry. We hope you enjoy our wines as much as we do.

Estate-Grown Grapes

Chuck picked the varietals to plant that matched our taste in wine. The first planting was Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. We also have one row of Stuben (the vines were given to us by some friends). Additional plantings added Riesling, Sangiovese, and Muscadine. All varietals are considered European except for the American Stuben and Muscadine. The crop load of the European varieties is very unpredictable due to Tennessee weather so most Tennessee vineyards choose other varieties to grow in their vineyard. So you’ll have a unique experience when you come taste our wines.

Vineyard Wedding Venue

Yes you can have a storybook wedding! What could be more romantic than our stunning views and perfectly groomed estate winery framed by acres and acres of vineyards just beyond our 100 year old tree with a swing. 2015 has 19 weddings booked, so don’t delay your planning. Call to book today.

Plan a Road Trip to Visit Us

From downtown Knoxville, we are a short 30-minute drive up 11W.  Enjoy the drive through the countryside, past House Mountain State Natural Area.  There are a few mom and pop places to eat on the way, but we suggest that you plan ahead, bring a picnic, and when you get here plan on staying the afternoon to disconnect from the world and enjoy the view.  We will even lend you a picnic blanket.  There is not a lot to do here, but you will not want to leave once you arrive.  Guaranteed.
